Custom Shopify app development
Custom Shopify apps built around the way your business actually operates.
When an off-the-shelf Shopify app doesn't fit your workflow, Leger Studio builds custom applications that automate operations, connect your systems, and give your team the tools they need to scale.
We specialize in business-critical Shopify applications — inventory, orders, integrations, and internal tools — not generic theme tweaks.
- Custom Shopify apps
- Admin API / GraphQL
- Shopify Functions
- Checkout extensions
- Inventory automation
- Order management
- Multi-location workflows
- B2B functionality
- ERP & WMS integrations
- NetSuite integrations
- Internal tools
- External APIs
What we build
The missing layer between Shopify and your operation
Custom software for the workflows public apps don't cover — automation, inventory, integrations, and the internal tools your team actually uses.
Operations & automation
Automate repetitive Shopify workflows and the internal processes your team still runs by hand.
Inventory
Custom inventory, transfer, replenishment, and multi-location workflows that match how you actually stock the business.
Integrations
Connect Shopify with ERP, WMS, 3PL, accounting, CRM, and the other systems your operation already depends on.
Orders & fulfillment
Custom order processing, routing, fulfillment, and operational workflows beyond what a stock app can express.
B2B
Pricing, permissions, account management, and workflows for wholesale and B2B operations that don't fit a template.
Shopify extensions
Shopify Functions, checkout extensions, admin extensions, and other Shopify-native surfaces when the workflow belongs there.
Why custom
Your business isn't standard. Your software doesn't have to be.
Leger Studio builds the layer between Shopify and how the company actually runs — when the App Store stops being enough.
- Existing Shopify apps don't support the workflow you actually run
- Multiple apps are being stitched together to accomplish one process
- People are manually moving data between Shopify and other systems
- Shopify needs to talk to an ERP, WMS, or 3PL
- Inventory workflows are getting harder to manage as you add locations
- The company has B2B requirements that public apps don't cover
- Existing apps are becoming too expensive or too restrictive
- You need functionality that simply isn't in the Shopify App Store

How we work
A simple path from the problem to production
No mystery process. Four steps, a written plan, and a scoped build.
01
Discovery
Understand the business, current systems, workflow, and the outcome that would actually change how the team works.
02
Architecture
Define the application architecture, integrations, data flow, and an implementation plan you can sign off on.
03
Development
Build, test, and iterate on the application against real operational cases — not a demo catalog.
04
Launch & support
Deploy to production, watch it under real load, and keep it maintained if you want an ongoing partner.
Project questions

Are these prices fixed packages?
No. The numbers are typical ranges so you can budget with a straight answer. We scope every project around your workflow, integrations, and the outcome you need — then we quote that scope.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
Not always. Many custom apps run on a standard Shopify store. Some surfaces — checkout extensions, certain B2B features, higher-volume patterns — depend on what Shopify makes available on your plan. We map that in discovery instead of assuming Plus.
Who owns the app after launch?
The app is installed on your Shopify store. Source code, licensing, and handover are written into the project agreement before development starts. We don't bury that in the fine print.
Is a maintenance plan required?
No. You can launch without one. Shopify, APIs, and your own requirements still change, so most teams keep a plan so the app stays compatible and someone is accountable when it breaks. We can also quote a one-off hardening pass.
Have a workflow the App Store doesn't cover?
Tell us how the operation actually runs. We'll be straight about whether a custom app is the right layer, what it would take, and what a realistic range looks like.
